Old Joy.

I never actually saw the movie Old Joy but I was obsessed with watching the trailer because of the music. Yo La Tengo wrote it for the film but you could never actually buy it -- that is until now. I am so happy they finally put the soundtrack on CD. It has a rustic sort of folksy feel but there is something so serene and beautiful about it as well. I think I have those connotations partially because that is the feel of the trailer. I still really want to see the film.

My favorite track: Leaving Home

The best thing about Disneyland...

(besides the dole whip and space mountain) is the amazing vintage posters of all the attractions that they have displayed when you first walk in.

Mean Streets.

This scene from Martin Scorsese's Mean Streets is pure genius. The camera closes in on Harvey Keitel just as the Rolling Stones start. Then the camera flashes to Robert DeNiro, who just strolls right on it to the bar like he is the ultimate shit. So great. All slow montage scenes set to music wish they could be as amazing as this one. Though many of Wes Anderson's come awfully close.

Cutest thing ever.

Refinery 29 is a super hip fashion website and blog that was started by Piera Gelardi. I saw her wedding invitations via the great blog A Cup of Jo and just went absolutely crazy. I love photobooth pictures to begin with but then add in cupcakes and paper hearts and the cuteness factor is over the top.
