It's girl scout cookie season and those delicious damn things are everywhere

Part 3: Ranthambore

We went to at the amazing Aman-I-Khas, located in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. The hotel consists of luxury equipped tents; a truly indulgent way to experience nature. We ate all our meals there which were oh so good as they grow everything in their organic garden. We went on two safaris in the reserve and spotted lots of animals including deer, owls, monkeys, boars and last not but least a prized tiger in the bushes.

Part 2:Udaipur

From Mumbai we flew to Udaipur, in the state of Rajasthan. We stayed at Udaivilias, the most gorgeous hotel located on the lake. The propertis is lush with bougainvillea and the sun sparkles in the lake's reflection. We took a boat over to the Lake Palace, a palace in the middle of a lake built in 1743 that now operates as a hotel. The next day we went to visit a Hindu temple in town and then to the City Palace, built by the Maharana Udai Mirza Singh in 1559, where we meandered through tiny hallways into beautifully decorated rooms each decorated in a completely different way. Our last day was spent driving through the country to Kumbhalgarh fort, where monkeys run a monk the ancient fortress. We had an amazing lunch of chicken, naan and saffron kheer at the Aodhi Hotel. In the afternoon we visited the amazing Jain temple, made of intricately carved marble.

Afternoon at the Chateau.

Spending time on the patio at Chateau Marmont is always the most splendid way to enjoy an afternoon.

Lying

I remember seeing this trailer a few years back and being totally transfixed by its ethereal nature and its sofia coppola-esqueness. I quickly forgot about it however and never got around to actually seeing the film. To my delight I rediscovered it's on instant netflix!

Touches of India.

I am not going back to my apartment until school begins again so while living at home I have been trying to revamp by bedroom. The Eames rocker and sheepskin rug are the usual blogger staples, but my room has recently been infused with things from my trip including a new blanket and bedspread.

Desert Weekend.

Straying away from India, I never got a chance to post pictures from Erin's 30 bday weekend in the Mojave Desert. We had dinner at Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown, mellowed out with a sound bath at the Integatron, ate lots of good food and cake and enjoyed stops at Joshua Tree and the Salton Sea.
