Behind the Scene

These photos are from behind the scene of the photo shoot below. They are so fantastic!!!

Kate Spade + Allan Dye

The moment I saw the Kate Spade ad collection entitled Bisbee in a magazine, I flipped out. I ripped out all the pages and saved them. I even put them on my dorm walls. Allan Dye was the creative director for this project. He also helped with this absolutely fantastic kate spade video thing called Blondie. I am so sad that I wasn't alive 45 years ago.

Alan Dye.

Allan Dye is such an inspiration to me. I loved this video on him. One of the most amazing things about design and what most appeals to me about it is how it translates into so many different areas. Studying one kind of design allows you to develop a knowledge for another. It is important that though I am going to be predominately studying graphic design, I will still be able to train my creative mind so that it can also apply its self to other projects as well. I am kind of rambling, but I guess what I am trying to say is that I really love communication design and I am so excited that I made the decision to study it. Sometimes I cry a little when I go through class descriptions because everything just sounds so interesting. This is a new feeling for me since I always hated school because I wasn't scholarly enough. Allan does graphic design but is also a art/creative director. His career is how I hope mine will be.

Brigitte Bardot and Anna Karina are two of the my favorite style icons. They are both total sex kittens but they are attractive in such a chic composed way. I seriously think I was meant to live in another era.

Anisette.

I had brunch at the new Anisette, a brasserie located right off the promenade in Santa Monica. I loved the decor and feel of it. You can read my yelp reviews as I just started writing them today.
