Tonight Erin and I went to a lecture at Sci-Arc that featured an all-star panel with Frank Gehry, Thom Mayne, Hernan Diaz Alonso, Greg Lynn, Sir Peter Cook, and Eric Owen Moss. Today my teacher was explaining that graphic designers are too incestuous and only look to each other for inspiration when they really should be looking to other fields for influence whether it be scientific, anthropological etc. I love going to lectures on all areas as some of the best design comes from unapparent sources.
