60's California Art
Some of my favorite artists include Ed Ruscha, David Hockney, and John Baldessari, all prominent artists who worked in Los Angeles during the 60's. I love Ruscha's use of text, Hockney's ability to perfectly encapsulate the vibe of Southern California, and Baldessari's ability to juxtapose images with type.

Little Joy.
I am loving the music of Little Joy right now, pet project of Fabrizio Moretti. This song is lovely.

It's one of those days I should be doing work but inexplicably don't. I am loving the song Planet Health by Chairlift.

Abandoned Amusement Park.
These are the kind of photos I live for. How eerie are they?? This place is vacant, but I can still hear the faint laughter of children, the squeaking of the roller coaster tracks, creepy carousel music. Now it's just abandoned, left alone to deteriorate in its own oblivion. These photos capture a lost nostalgia that haunts me. I am very mystified by that idea that one day a place can be so loved and populated and then all of a sudden deserted. These photos manage to show a place totally forgotten, yet at the same they preserve the essence of what this place probably was at some point in time.
